You will demonstrate your understanding of these concepts by not only remembering their definitions but also through comparing and interpreting main ideas.

As promised, here are career paths you can follow with an emphasis in Economics

The understanding of economics for Business Administration majors is essential.  Your knowledge of this discipline will help students develop skills in:

  • Determining how the money will be spent to get the work done, and
    accounting for these expenditures
  • Help you understand the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
  • Investigate and gather facts

Although this is not a direct Business Administration major, it does support some well-paying careers that you can follow with your Business degree:

  • Budget Analysts-$75,000
  • Market Research Analysts-$62,000

What to do with a job in Ethics?
Students following this career path will develop skills in:

  • You will recommend changes to policies or procedures to improve operations
  • You enjoy directing or coordinating departments and activities/production
of a business, agency, or organization
  • You enjoy setting goals and deadlines
  • You are comfortable working with people
  • You take the initiative when completing tasks or projects

Many companies and organizations in business and finance recruit staff with the ability to offer innovative solutions to complex ethical dilemmas. Ethics and moral decision-making are frequently crucial in matters of public policy. Training in ethics will give you an added advantage, whether you’re considering eventual public office, careers in governmental think tanks, or any type of public policy work.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ current Occupational Outlook Handbook places salaries for people who pursue these careers in California at:

  • Compliance Officers-$84,000
  • Construction and Building Inspectors-$68,000
  • Occupational Health and Safety Specialists-$73,000
